A promising week-end with Label Suisse

Sep 18, 2008

The last 8 entries in this blog were related to Drupal, so for a little diversity I'll write something related to my other obsession: music!

This week-end the city of Lausanne will be taken over by many events, one of which is the free music festival Label Suisse. This festival is organized by the Radio Suisse Romande (Francophone Swiss Radio) and has the mission to promote Swiss artists and to encourage collaboration, both nationally and internationally.

With an interesting mix of established artists and newcomers, this festival has something to offer to everyone. For those of you who are too far away, videos from all concerts will be available online.

Personally, I already chose to go see William White, Keziah Jones and Amadou & Mariam (which I just discovered yesterday on Couleur3), but the best discoveries sometimes happen randomly.

Because Label Suisse is happening simultaneously with the mobility week, public transportation will also be free for the whole week-end!

PS: Sorry, I have to talk about web stuff. I need to mention that ergopix, the company who built the website for Label Suisse did a great job at building an interactive festival schedule that lets you find the information you're looking for quickly and intuitively.
